Detailed 5 Days Bwindi Gorillas, Chimpanzee tracking & Wildlife Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Approximately 7:00 am is when your driver/guide will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Make a stop at the equator for a landmark photo opportunity before proceeding to Mbarara. Take a lunch break en route before proceeding to Bwindi National Park, the habitat of Mountain Gorillas. The journey is lengthy yet pleasant. Continue south towards Bwindi, taking in the terraced hills of the Kigezi Highlands, historically referred to as the Switzerland of Africa.
We shall arrive in Bwindi in the evening. Settle in for the night and get ready for tomorrow’s big event!
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Following breakfast and the preparation of your packed lunch, you will be escorted to the location designated for the briefing. Guides will be assigned to you, allowing you to start your trek.The duration and terrain can vary from 1 to 8 hours, depending on the movement of these gentle giants.
The thrill of a face-to-face encounter with the mountain gorillas eases the discomfort of an often drawn-out and exhausting trek. Every encounter presents unique experiences and benefits, yet you are likely to appreciate the intimate observation of adults engaging in feeding, grooming, and resting, while the young ones playfully swing from vines with excitement.
After tracking, you’ll stroll back to your lodge for dinner &Â to spend the night.
It is essential to bring long pants, such as jeans, and reliable footwear to assist with hiking on steep and slippery terrain. Additionally, long-sleeved shirts and blouses are recommended to safeguard your skin from thorns and irritating plants. It is advisable to consider the possibility of rain, and having a raincoat is essential to safeguard both yourself and any equipment, such as cameras, that you may be carrying. Additionally, ensure to include insect repellents and sunscreen.
Day 3: Travel from Bwindi to Ishasha – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following an early breakfast, proceed to Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will embark on a game drive with the potential to observe tree-climbing lions. Ishasha is characterized by acacia woodland and scrubland, alongside the winding Ishasha River, which is bordered by a riparian forest. Have dinner and a restfull night at he same hotel.
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning game drives provide an opportunity to observe a diverse array of wildlife in Queen Elizabeth National Park, including predators such as lions and leopards, as well as other game species. More than 500 bird species have been documented in this area, establishing it as a premier destination for bird-watchers. The list comprises the black bee-eater, 11 distinct species of kingfisher, along with various falcons, eagles, and other raptors.
Queen is situated along the shores of Lake George and Lake Edward, with the Kazinga Channel in the western region of the Great Rift Valley escarpment serving as a connection between the two lakes.
Following lunch, embark on a 2-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This waterway connects Lakes Edward and George, populated by schools of hippos and buffalo, with elephants along the banks. One can expect to encounter grazing hippos, elephants, lions, spotted hyenas, leopards, bushbuck, waterbuck, striped jackals, and, of course, several warthogs. Following the launch, we will proceed to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Kyambura Gorge – Kampala
Following breakfast, you will be transported to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking during a primate walk.

Following your visit to Kyambura Gorge, proceed to Kampala and then continue on to Entebbe with your packed lunch. Arrival is scheduled for the evening.
CONCLUSION OF SAFARI
Kindly Note the safari cost will include:
