Volcanoes National Park is located in the northwestern region of Rwanda. It is undoubtedly the most renowned national park in Rwanda. Volcanoes National Park has documented 178 species of birds. A Detailed 2 Days Rwanda Golden Monkey Trekking Safari

Day 1: Kigali Pick up – Kigali City Excursion – Transfer to Ruhengeri – Iby’iwacu Cultural Village

The Guide will get you from your accommodation or the airport in Kigali in the morning. He will provide you with an overview of the tour and escort you on a city tour of Kigali. The Kigali city tour includes visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, the former presidential palace, local markets, and craft shops.

You will have lunch on the two-day Golden Monkey tracking tour and then proceed to Volcanoes National Park. The trip takes roughly two hours and passes through breathtaking rural scenery with gorgeous rolling hills and views of people tending to their gardens. Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking – Departure to Kigali.

Get up early, eat breakfast, and then head to the Kinigi offices. The briefing commences at 7:30 and concludes at 8:00 AM. You will be escorted by additional guides to the starting spot located at the base of the Volcano. The landscape is picturesque, featuring a lush green forest and five volcanoes positioned in various orientations. Locating the monkeys is straightforward as they are fond of consuming bamboo, which grows on the lower slopes of the Volcanoes. Upon locating them, you are permitted one hour in their presence. You are permitted to pursue them if they relocate. Golden monkeys exhibit a lack of shyness following the completion of habituation. Anticipate intimate contacts with them that will enable you to capture excellent photographs. In contrast to mountain gorillas, golden monkeys are not bothered by flash photographers.
