The typical duration to locate the mountain gorillas within the jungle ranges from 2 to 4 hours. The park was established in 1925, following the discovery of Mountain Gorillas, and it holds the distinction of being the first national park in Africa. Even today, few experiences rival the encounter with a mountain gorilla as it feeds on bamboo shoots; it is undoubtedly one of Africa’s most remarkable travel highlights. Following the in-person encounter with the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, proceed to the lodge for lunch. In the evening, unwind on your room’s balcony or engage with the local community, or consider an excursion to discover the stunning twin lakes in the area, such as Lake Bulera and Ruhondo.
