Day 1: Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Return to Kigali

Gather at the Kinigi Park headquarters to receive instructions on the guidelines for gorilla trekking. Here are some things you’ll need for gorilla trekking: a day bag, waterproof hiking boots, a camera (without a flashlight), long-sleeved shirts or t-shirts, pants, a walking stick, and maybe even some food to munch on.

You will be assigned to a small group of eight tourists to track one habituated gorilla family, and your gorilla trekking expedition will last approximately four to eight hours, based upon your hiking pace, the features of the habitat, and the location of these gorillas. Upon finding them, you have only one hour of face to face contact with them, after then you will make your way back to the headquarters of Kinigi Subsequently, return to Kigali, ending your 2-day gorilla safari in Rwanda.
